1. Introduction

Purpose

The brand guidelines define the visual and verbal presentation of Voltan Motorsports across all platforms and competition elements to ensure consistency, clarity, and a strong identity.

About Voltan Motorsports

Student-led racing team

Voltan Motorsports is a student-led team competing in the 2026 STEM Racing (F1 in Schools) Southern Malaysia Regionals and the 2026 Harimau Racing Marlborough Grand Prix.

Logo System

Primary Logo

The primary logo represents Voltan Motorsports’ team identity. It is a copyrighted element and the basis for all brand representation and communication.

Secondary Logo

The secondary logo includes team text and may be used where applicable.

Usage Rules

  • The logo must be clear, legible, in uniform colors, and proportionally accurate in all directions.
  • It may either be in Voltan purple with white geometry, or in white with transparent geometry.
  • A minimum clear space must surround all sides of the logo to prevent visual interference.
  • Clear space should be proportional to the size of the internal V shape in the primary logo.

Symbolism

  • The circle represents “Volta”: orderly, organised motion and a continuous cycle of analysis, testing and performance.
  • The central V-shape shows the first letter of the team name and acts as an arrow toward the team vision.
  • The side accents symbolise data, research and diverse ideas feeding unified forward motion.
  • The bottom triangle represents team identity: Mission, Vision and Values.

Color Palette

The palette should maintain consistency across platforms, guide attention with contrast, and avoid visual noise.

Voltan Violet

Primary color. Chosen as a rich mixture of the energy in red and the calmness in blue. Used across headers, key visuals and the team logo.

Voltan Purple

Prestige, racing and Johorean heritage. Also connected to founding member Ibrahim Daing A Malek’s race helmet at the time of founding.

Voltan Magenta

Harmony, creativity and direction. Follows the same principles as the team mission and logo.

Voltan Navy

Authority, stability and trust. Represents the unified team vision.
